It's not that hard when you think about it

You've given up on trying to find your disc - it's time to move on

Then you get the text message - someone's found your disc!

They've put it in the dreaded lost and found box - the one that's never open. It'll be months before you see that disc again.

But wait! Later that day, you get another text message that your disc is ready for pick-up! All you need is your phone number and a 5-digit access code. Let's go!

The fancy name for it is "multi-factor authentication". We prefer to call it "easy-peasy". Here's how it works:

Step 1 - the good Samaritan

Somebody finds your disc and puts it in the lost and found drop box.

We all rely on the kindness of strangers!

They might send you a text - they might not. The important thing is that the process has started and you'll be able to pick up your disc soon.

Step 2 - the lost disc custodian

The lost and found custodian finds your disc in the drop box - thank goodness you wrote your phone number on it!

Now things get interesting.

The custodian checks the system for open slots. If there are any, your disc gets stowed in one of the pick-up boxes and the custodian enters your phone number into the system.

The system randomly generates a 5-digit code.

At this point, the custodian sends you a courtesy text letting you know your disc is ready for retrieval.

(Did we mention that this makes the custodian's job super easy, too?)

Step 3 - go get it

Now it's your turn.

Go back to the course and turn on the controller.

Enter your phone number and the controller will text you the 5-digit access code. Type in the code and the box with your disc springs open.

That's it! Can life get much sweeter?
